Basic Cooking Instructions:

(for demonstration, please see our slide show)

Preheat your food to desired temperature.

Use a pot that is
proportionately consistent with the amount of
food you are cooking.

Put the lid on your Pot while heating.

Mean while, prepare your 18 Gallon
Plastic Container, by placing the Large Cushion
in the bottom of it.

Create a nesting place in the
Large Cushion before removing the Pot from the
heat, then quickly
transfer the Pot.

Put the Small Cushion on top, leaving
it fluffed.

Make sure that you place the cushion on the food and DO NOT remove it….

this will ensure that no heat escapes and the food cooks appropriately.

Place Plastic Lid on the 18 Gallon
Container.

Serve when appropriate time has passed.

Important Hints for you to consider:

*In addition to cooking, you can keep things cold… popsicles for a picnic, milk for a lunch!

*You don’t want to use too
large of a Pot and have empty air space.

*Avoid losing any more heat
than absolutely necessary.

*Make sure there are no gaps surrounding
your Pot.

*DO NOT remove the Lid or the Small
Cushion until finished cooking or you will lose
valuable warm or cold air and the food will not cook
properly!

*DO NOT place the Oven on a metal
surface, it may cause more heat and make it
difficult to time the cooking process.

*In order
to protect the Cushions, you can line the Pot
with Foil or Heating pads or Dish Towels,
however, this is not necessary.

*The Cushions
can be washed by hand with soap and water and
hung to dry.

*Be sure not leave the cushions out in moist
weather or you may risk them molding.

*You can spend 5-20 minutes heating
food, then leave it until it is finished and
ready to serve.

*You will also use less of a
heat source as well as water per serving (which
could be quite valuable in the event of an
emergency).
